What to do when flooding

Flood authorities declare the stages of the flood activity:

1. State of alertness
2. State of readiness
3. State of threat

How you will be informed in case of flood emergency

• by a signal which will be sent out by the variable tune of the siren for 140 seconds, by mass media,by the local loudspeaker

What we shall do in case of declaration of the state of readiness

• secure the listening of mass media,
• follow the orders of flood authorities,of the police and of the rescuers and be informed about the way and the place of evacuation,
• prepare the evacuation baggage for the whole family,
• prepare the sandbags and other sealig material for the sealing of low-situated doors and windows.

What we have to do in case of declaration of the state of threat

• prepare the evacuation baggage for the whole family,
• move the furniture,food and dangerous stuff upstairs,
• prepare the family and domestic animals for evacuation,
• during flooding disconnect the electicity main and close the main gas supply,
• in case of declaration of danger of a flood wave - immediately prepare for evacuation.

In case of the declaration of evacuation

• alert the neighbours and in case of necessity help them during the evacuation,
• immediately stop all the activity and start moving to the place which won`t be threaten by flood,
• move to the evacuation area as soon as possible.
