In the break of the century the building activity itself subscribed on the picture of the town in an outstanding way:Beautiful buildings of German secondary grammar school,students' home and mainly of the new Town Hall (from 1903 in the style of German Neo-Renaissance) came into being.The barracs became a certain dominant, in 1906 in the Lower suburb the hospital was open and the spa buildings of St.Margaret's Spa were built under the slope of Libín.
