Development in 16th century

     The year 1832 again brought the destruction to Prachatice in the form of a great fire.137 houses including the Church of St.James were damaged.After the abolishing of servitude the district executive and the district court were established in the town.Only at the end of 19th century it's possible to see the repeated building activity connected with the gradual creation of the economic base.The impotrant event was the construction of the railway connection between Prachatice and Vodnany in 1893,later the connection with Volary.It was the impulse to the developing of entreprise:especially woodworking branches are being developed.
